About me

Hi, I’m Chloé Lecerf, a jazz singer with a passion for storytelling through music. My journey has taken me across the world—born in Paris to a French-Taiwanese family, I spent 3 years in Taïwan, 15 years in Beijing before settling in France. Though my path initially led me to a career in business, music was always my true calling.

Classically trained in piano as a child for six years, I later picked up the guitar as an adult —attending night school—and kept music close while working a day job. Singing had always been my deepest passion, but I hesitated to turn it into a career, wanting to shield it from the pressures of making a living. Over time, I realized that while I had proven my ability to succeed in a conventional career, it didn’t truly inspire me. I asked myself—if I could do anything in the world, regardless of money and with the energy of my youth, what would it be? The answer was clear: I wanted to live without regret and be bold enough to pursue my dreams. That’s when I made the decision to fully embrace music.

I enrolled at IMEP in Paris, a school partnered with Berklee, where I spent three years studying jazz culture, rhythm, solfège, piano, and refining my vocal technique under Sylvain Bellegarde and Rayane Dupuis.

During those years, I balanced school with singing at Parisian jam sessions, connecting with musicians from around the world and immersing myself in the jazz community.

Seeking for more hands-on experience, I was accepted into the Tribeca Jazz Institute in New York—founded by world-renowned saxophonist Grant Stewart—where I immersed myself in an intensive jazz program. For three months, I trained with some of the best musicians in the scene, including Lucy Yeghiazaryan, Vanisha Gould, Maucha Adnet, Mikaela Bennett, Michael Kanan, Vilray, Greg Ruggiero, Ilya Lushtak and Ari Roland.

Now back in Paris, I’m determined to share my passion for jazz on stage.
